I liked the storyline and how it is developed but there were several phrases in there that DROVE me crazy. One was “furling of the brow” and the other was “blood like lava”. I cannot say that they were cliched because I hadn’t heard them until this book but, Good God, it’s like every other page Estelle was “furling her brow” maybe if she furled it enough she could set sail on a sea of lava hot blood!!! Despite my frustration with incorrect word usage (to the author: you really do need to pay a human being to read your work before you release it because spell check just isn’t cutting it!) and terrible spelling mistakes; I enjoyed the story. I do hope that she comes out with a third one that hopefully an editor has corrected for her. I also don’t like that you can’t really see a synopsis of what a book is about on the Kindle section. Elsewhere in Amazon they let you cruise the book before deciding to buy it. So here’s my synopsis: Estelle is from a race of immortals that threatened to become more powerful than the Gods. This made the Gods unhappy and insecure so they moved to complicate things for them. There is kind of a twist about Estelle and ???’s relationship but I think you should read the book to get it. =) Estelle has forgotten her immortality and her soul mate helps her remember it. Don’t worry you meet him soon enough!

This is a really good book! The story is intriguing, romantic and imaginative. I am so glad there is a second book and a third book on the way. If you like supernatural people with a tale of love and adventure this book is for you. It keeps you wanting more!! I love how she ties in the poem The Raven by Edger Allan Poe!

Feather is a creative, imaginative, fantasy love story that I had a hard time putting down. This would be a great read for anyone who likes a the Twilight Series, the stories have a few similar qualities in structure, which I liked but, Feather goes in a whole different direction in the creativity and imagination that exceeds Twilight. Its not just a love story, Feather goes deeper into a whole new world beyond the norm which leaves you hanging in suspense, hungry for the next book in the series. I am looking forward to a lot of amazing stories from this great new young author, I am recommending this book to everyone I know.

This book is very well written….. I am a media specialist…I buy young adult genre all the time, it’s my job,and this book is a keeper. The story and the characters have depth, and both have been well thought out. So many young adult novels today are very superficial… This novel makes you think about more than clothes, popularity, and boyfriends.
It’s magical….you fall in love with Edgar. Abra makes you feel his pain and darkness. The emptiness that Estella feels is almost palpable. The idea behind this book is brilliant…I love the complexity of the world she has created!
Books of this type help students learn to write better….this type of material takes them outside the box, lets their imagination flow! Kids aren’t using their imaginations these days….I see it all the time in our elementary school, and it’s sad. So many of the children that I read to want books that are “real”. I think because they have such a hard time with the concept of imagining they want material that doesn’t make them think.
This is a wonderful book…..and I love the idea of having the unedited version….the true authors voice, what a teaching tool for students. They learn that you don’t have to be perfect the first time you put words to paper, what really matters is that you write, and write, and write…..

It was delightful to see a writer that challenged the rules. There were certainly a few OMG moments in store for me here, but in the end well deserved. A lot of times I can’t handle mysteries, I’m always the one to ask “what happens in the end,” in the middle of a story.
This book is perfect for anyone wishing they had more from life. And it certainly left me wishing that things like what happens in this book truly exist. It’s a grown up version of Harry Potter meets a less complicated Lord of the rings, with a bit of Twilight thrown in.
After reading a few first pages from book two, Guardian. I’m really on board for the next installment.
